Invited by Gildas le Reste, Peter Briggs was able to make a series of pieces in cast and welded steel, made in a foundry near to Châtellerault ; this was the first experiment with this technique. It was only in 2007, in Vadadora, India that thanks to the Uttarayan Foundation, he was able to make two other series of pieces using this technique, lost wax cast in steel. Two bronzes and gum arabic bichromate photograms (shadows of the branches that had been used to cast the bronzes) were also shown in the exhibition in Châtellerault.
